Art Deco 6.5 Carat Yellow Sapphire and Diamond Ring

Art Deco 6.5 Carat Yellow Sapphire and Diamond Ring. Circa 1930's.

A central yellow, claw set, oval cut sapphire measuring 6.52 carats. Platinum set, marked PLATINUM. The shoulders are each set with three old cut diamonds within millegrain edging. Pierced out gallery, leading to a plain band shank.

Diamond content is approximately .7 carat to each shoulder. Diamonds are H colour, VS clarity. To the reverse the sapphire and diamonds are set into open backed settings, this allows the light to shine through.

The head of the ring measures 10mm x 12mm.

This would make a beautiful engagement or dress ring and be sure to attract plenty of attention
