Very Elegant Art Deco 3 Carat Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring

 Art Deco Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1930.

The large 3 carat central blue sapphire is circled by a halo of 16 old cut diamonds measuring approximately .40 carat in total, G colour and VS clarity.  The sapphire and diamonds are all set in a platinum raised claw, crown type gallery, with plain shoulders leading to an 18 carat yellow gold (marked 18) plain band shank.  The head of the ring measures 12mm across, with the sapphire measuring 8mm.  To the reverse the ring has an open backed setting, which allows the light to shine through.

This beautiful ring would be perfect as an engagement ring or to wear every day as it sits low to the hand.
