Platinum Pink Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring

Vintage Pink Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring. Circa 1960's.

Platinum marked PLAT. Claw set with an oval cut pink sapphire. Complemented by an outer cluster of ten old cut diamonds and one baguette diamond to either side of the head of the ring.

Total diamond content measures approximately 1 carat. Diamonds H Colour, VS Clarity. Sapphire measures approximately .90 carat. Diamonds are all claw set within a millegrain border. The sapphire is in a rub over setting.  Pierced out gallery. Knife edge shoulders. Plain band shank.

To the reverse the sapphire and diamonds are set into open backed settings, this allows the light to shine through.

The head of the ring measures approximately 13 mm across.

This would make a beautiful engagement or dress ring and be sure to attract plenty of attention.
