Victorian Ruby and Diamond Cluster Ring. Circa 1897. 18 carat yellow gold marked Chester 18. Claw set with a circular cut ruby. Complemented by an outer cluster of eight old cut diamonds. Total diamond content measures approximately .30 carat. Diamonds H Colour, VS Clarity. Diamonds are all claw set. Pierced out gallery. Decorative shoulders leading to a plain band shank.
To the reverse the ruby and diamonds are set into open backed settings, this allows the light to shine through.
The head of the ring measures approximately 9mm across.
