Classic Victorian Ruby and Diamond Five Stone Ring

Ruby and Diamond Five Stone ring, Circa 1900. 18ct yellow gold unmarked.

This lovely ring features two oval cut rubies complemented by three old cut round diamonds, with 4 rose cut diamond points around each ruby, in a classic five stone formation. The gallery which is highly decorative and ornate then leads to an 18 ct yellow gold (unmarked) plain band shank. The total diamond content is approximately .90 carat and the ruby content is .60 carat. All the stones are set in an open backed setting to allow the light to shine through.

This antique ring would make a beautiful dress ring for special occasions or as a gift for a Ruby Wedding Anniversary.
