Vintage 18ct White Gold 1 Carat Ruby and Diamond Cluster Ring

Eye catching Ruby and Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1940.

Featuring a central oval cut ruby set in a raised four claw setting, complemented by an outer cluster of ten old cut claw set diamonds with one baguette cut diamond to either side set within a platinum millegrain border. The ruby measures approximately 1 carat, and the diamonds measure approximately .25 carats, G colour and VS clarity.  The decorative pierced out gallery and plain shoulders lead to an 18ct white gold plain band shank, marked 18CT PLAT.  The head of the ring measures approximately 10mm x 11mm. To he reverse the ruby and diamonds are set into open backed settings which allows the maximum amount of light to shine through.
