18 Carat White Gold Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring

Vintage 18 carat white gold, non marked, Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1940.

Claw set with a circular cut natural mid blue sapphire, measuring approximately 1 carat, and complemented by an outer cluster of eight claw set old cut diamonds which measure approximately 1.25 carats, H Colour and VS Clarity. The ring has a pierced out gallery,  knife edge shoulders and a plain band shank.  To the reverse the sapphire and diamonds are set into open backed settings, this allows the light to shine through.

This would make a beautiful engagement or dress ring and be sure to attract plenty of attention.
