Vintage Abstract Diamond Cluster Ring.

Vintage Abstract Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1940.

The head of the ring is of an abstract square shape, set with twenty seven old cut diamonds.  The centre diamond is complemented by an outer surround of twelve diamonds and a further two rows each set with seven diamonds.  All diamonds are claw set, with a plain solid gallery.  Wide shoulders lead to a plain band shank.  To the reverse the diamonds are set into open backed settings, this allows the light to shine through..
