Friar House
Striking pear shaped Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1930.
Featuring a central pear cut cornflower blue sapphire weighing approximately 1.50 carat, surrounded by a halo of sixteen old cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.64 carat, H colour and VS/SI clarity. The Sapphire and Diamonds are all claw set in platinum. The decorative pierced out gallery and knife edge shoulders lead to an 18ct white gold plain band shank marked PLAT 18CT. The head of the ring measures 10 mm in width. The sapphire and diamonds are set into open backed settings, this allows the maximum amount of light to shine through.
This lovely ring would be prefect as an engagement or dress ring
