Pretty Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring circa 1930.
Claw set with a circular cut mid blue sapphire and complemented by an outer cluster of eight old cut diamonds. Â The total diamond content measures approximately .50 carat, H colour and VS clarity. The Sapphire measures approximately .50 carat. Â The diamonds and sapphire are all claw set in a platinum pierced out gallery. Knife edge shoulders lead to an 18ct yellow gold plain band shank (marked 18CT PLAT). Â The head of the ring measures 11mm in width. Â To the reverse the sapphire and diamonds are set into open backed settings, which allow the light to shine through.
This would make a beautiful engagement or dress ring and be sure to attract plenty of attention.
