Friar House
Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1930.
Featuring a lovely mid blue sapphire eight claw set in 18ct yellow gold which is complemented by an outer cluster of old cut diamonds set in 18ct white gold. The total diamond content measures approximately .35 carat, H colour and VS/SI clarity. The Sapphire measures approximately .40 carat. The decorative pierced out gallery and knife edge shoulders lead to an 18ct yellow gold plain band shank (marked 18CT). The head of the ring measures 9 mm in width. To the reverse the sapphire and diamonds are set into open backed settings, which allow the light to shine through.
This would make a beautiful engagement or dress ring and be sure to attract plenty of attention.
