Very Pretty Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring, Circa 1930.
Featuring a beautiful circular cut mid blue sapphire in a platinum millegrain edged setting which measures approximately 0.65 carats. The Sapphire is circled by a halo of ten brilliant cut diamonds grain set in platinum within a millegrain rub over setting. The diamonds measure approximately .30 carats, H colour and VS/SI clarity. The decorative pierced out gallery and knife edge shoulders lead to an 18ct yellow gold plain band shank marked PLAT 18CT, with the makers mark H.W.L. The head of the ring measures 8 .5 mm in width. To the reverse the sapphire and diamonds are set into open backed settings which allows the maximum amount of light to shine through.
This lovely ring would make a wonderful gift for an eighteenth or twenty-first birthday.
