Friar House
Two Stone Art Deco Coloured Sapphire Cross Over Ring. Circa 1930.
Platinum set, marked PLAT. Claw set to the centre are two oval sapphires in a mid violet blue and warm pink colour. The sapphires measure approximately .90 carat each. The sapphires are surrounded by a part oval of four claw set diamonds to each side of the central stones to form a twist design. The diamonds measure approximately .50 carat in total. Diamonds G colour, VS clarity. Each shoulder is set with one old cut diamond. Plain shoulders lead to a plain band shank. To the reverse the sapphires and diamonds are set into open backed settings to allow the light to shine through.
This would make a beautiful dress ring and be sure to attract plenty of attention.
