Friar House
Unusual Two Coloured Sapphire Cross Over Ring. Circa 1930.
Claw set to the centre are two oval sapphires in cornflower blue and warm pink. The sapphires measure approximately .90 carat each and are surrounded by a part oval of four claw set diamonds to each side forming a twist design, with one old cut diamond set to each shoulder. The total diamond content measures approximately .50 carats, G colour and VS clarity. The pierced out galley leads to a plain band shank, marked PLAT. To the reverse the sapphires and diamonds are set into open backed settings to allow the light to shine through.
This would make a beautiful dress ring and be sure to attract plenty of attention.
