A stunning Amethyst Ring, circa 1940.
Featuring a beautifully clear, emerald cut, purple Amethyst of approximately 12 carats in an 18ct white gold four claw setting. Each shoulder is set with three old cut diamonds, claw set in rub over settings, measuring approximately 0.06 carats each side. The decorative gallery leads to an unmarked 18ct white gold plain band shank. The amethyst measures 17mm x 12mm. To the reverse the amethyst and diamonds are set into open backed settings which allow the maximum amount of ight to shine through.
This beautiful Amethyst would make a perfect Dress or Cocktail ring.
