At Friar House in Battle we have an extensive range of antique engagement rings both diamond and sapphire, covering all eras from Victorian, Art Deco to contemporary. We are an independent jewellers with a wealth of knowledge and can help you find the perfect ring.
We understand that looking for an engagement ring can be an overwhelming time. There is now so much choice available and pressure to choose the right ring; Will she like it? Will it fit? How much should I spend? What happens if I get it wrong?
Here at Friar House we can help guide and support you with all of your questions. We have over 26 years of experience in handling antique jewellery, specialising in engagement rings and we know going into a shop alone could feel really intimidating. We never pressure customers to buy an item, we will only do our best to help you to feel relaxed and comfortable and share our knowledge with you. We appreciate that buying an engagement ring is buying the gift of a life time, it’s not just a piece of jewellery, it’s a symbol of love that will be worn for the rest of your partner’s life.

We provide a free written valuation for your purchase which includes photos for insurance purposes and re-sizing is also included in the price of your ring (re-sizing can be done after you have proposed if you aren’t sure on your partners size). If the worst happens and your partner really doesn’t like your choice of engagement ring you can come back with them and choose a different ring.
