1940's 18 Carat White Gold Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring

Vintage circa 1940, 18 carat white gold (not marked) .  Claw set with a circular cut Natural mid blue sapphire. Complemented by an outer cluster of eight old cut diamonds.

Total diamond content measures approximately 1.25 carats Diamonds H Colour, VS Clarity. Sapphire measures approximately 1 Carat. Diamonds and sapphire are all claw set. Pierced out gallery.  Knife edge shoulders.  Plain band shank.

To the reverse the sapphire and diamonds are set into open backed settings, this allows the light to shine through.

The head of the ring measures approximately 12.5 mm across.

This would make a beautiful engagement or dress ring and be sure to attract plenty of attention.
