Pretty Velvet Blue Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring

Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1940.

A round velvet blue sapphire complemented by an outer cluster of ten old cut diamonds.  The total diamond content measures approximately .50 carat, G colour and VS clarity. The Sapphire measures approximately .50 carat.  The diamonds and sapphire are all claw set with a raised claw gallery, plain shoulders leading to a platinum plain band shank.  To the reverse the sapphire and diamonds are set into open backed settings, which allow the light to shine through.

This would make a fabulous engagement or dress ring or special anniversary present.
