Art Deco 18ct Yellow Gold Diamond and Sapphire Five Stone Ring

Diamond and Sapphire Five Stone ring, circa 1920.

This lovely ring features three graduated round old cut diamonds in platinum 4 claw settings, measuring a total of approximately .75 carats, H colour and VS/SI clarity.  The diamonds are separated by two round cut sapphires measuring approximately 1 carat in total, in 18ct yellow gold 4 claw settings. The decorative gallery and delicately scrolled shoulders lead to an 18ct yellow gold (unmarked) plain band shank. The head of the ring measures 20 mm across.  All the stones are set into an open backed setting to allow the maximum amount of light to shine through.

This ring would pair perfectly with a wedding band or eternity ring.
