Charming Pink Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1930.
An oval cut pink sapphire with an outer halo of old cut diamonds, and a single diamond to each shoulder. The Sapphire and Diamonds are all claw set with the diamonds in rub over settings. The sapphire measures approximately .90 carat and the diamonds measure approximately .25 carat, H Colour and VS/SI Clarity. The decorative pierced out gallery and diamond set shoulders lead to an 18ct yellow gold plain band shank (marked 18CT). The head of the ring measures 9mm in width. To the reverse the sapphire and diamonds are set into open backed settings, this allows the light to shine through.
This lovely would be a perfect engagement or dress ring as it sits low on the hand.
