Art Deco 1920's 18ct Yellow Gold Cornflower Blue Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring

Beautiful Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1920.

The 2 carat cornflower blue sapphire is complemented by a halo of twelve old cut diamonds.  The total diamond content measures approximately 1 carat, H colour and VS/SI clarity. The sapphire and diamonds are all claw set within a decorative pierced out gallery leading to an 18ct yellow gold plain band shank (non marked).  The head of the ring measures 11mm across.  To the reverse the sapphire and diamonds are set into open backed settings which allows the light to shine through.

This lovely ring would be ideal as dress or engagement ring.
