Friar House
Vintage Platinum Sapphire and Diamond Three Stone Ring, Circa 1940.
The beautiful Ceylon scissor cut sapphire is rub-over set to the centre in a square setting, measuring approximately 0.35 carats and is complemented by two claw set round old cut diamonds in square settings, measuring approximately 0.20 carat in total, H colour and VS clarity. The ring has a pierced out gallery, with fine shoulders and measures approximately 12mm in width. This is an excellent example of the Vintage period. To the reverse the sapphire and diamonds are set into open backed settings which allows the maximum amount of light to shine through.
This would make the perfect engagement ring and would also pair well with a wedding band and eternity ring.
