Art Deco Platinum Square Sapphire and Diamond Cluster ring

336Platinum Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring circa 1930.

This pretty cluster ring features a square cut velvet blue sapphire in a four claw setting, complemented by an outer cluster of twelve claw set old cut diamonds.  Total diamond content measures approximately .30 carats,  H colour and VS clarity. The Sapphire measures approximately .50 carats. The head of the ring measures 9mm x 9mm and is supported by a decorative pierced out gallery with plain shoulders leading to a platinum plain band shank (marked PLATINUM).  To the reverse the sapphire and diamonds are set into open backed settings which allow the light to shine through.

This is an unusual ring that makes a statement.
