Pretty Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring circa 1930.
Claw set with a circular cut mid blue sapphire and complemented by an outer cluster of eight old cut diamonds. The total diamond content measures approximately .50 carat, H Colour and VS Clarity. The Sapphire measures approximately .50 carat. The diamonds and sapphire are all claw set in a platinum pierced out gallery. Knife edge shoulders lead to an 18ct yellow gold plain band shank. The head of the ring measures 11mm in width. To the reverse the sapphire and diamonds are set into open backed settings, which allow the light to shine through.
This would make a beautiful engagement or dress ring and be sure to attract plenty of attention.
