A lovely Diamond Solitaire Ring from the 1930's.
The central old cut diamond is claw set, weighs approximately 1.17 cats and is H colour and SI clarity. On each shoulder sits one baguette diamond set in a millegrain border weighing approximately .10 carat, and a small round cut diamond in a rub oversetting, leading to a platinum plain band shank with decorative pierced out gallery. The head of the ring measures 5mm in width. To the reverse the diamonds are set into an open backed setting which allows the light to shine through.
This is a beautiful statement ring that is simple, elegant and timeless.
